Playing with Colors 01

Every Thursday, I am going to post cards/projects using Stampin' UP Colors. I am still going to incorporate some of the Retired Colors but mostly I will concentrate on using the colors in the Color Renovation. Today's colors are- Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise, Chocolate Chip and any Neutral. Hop over at Jean's blog (Bear Hugs and Inky Paws) and see how she played with these colors. Butterfly Friendship





Hello Peeps !!!
Happy Wednesday !!!
Just a quick post today using two sets that I love- The butterfly is from Simple Friendship.
I stamped the image first in Pink Pirouette and using the Rock and Roll technique (i think that's what they call it) in Riding Hood Red. I am not into distressing although I do try. I did some piercing around the background after I did the embossing. I know it's hard to tell in the picture. Hope you like it.

From Me to You




Hello Peeps !!!
Happy Tuesday !!!
You know how you can't say goodbye to some of the SU colors. Kiwi Kiss is one of the colors that I just love and (too bad it didn't make it in the book). I also purchased the Raspberry Tart DSP in the Clearance Rack. If you get a chance, check it out on my sidebar. I stamped the image, embossed and colored with markers. I added some piercing and scallop trim border punch.

Simply Simple 01

Every Monday, I am starting a new post called Simply Simple. I will be making cards that are clean, easy and simply simple to make in 10 minute or less. In this card, I used a single panel, added a border and 2 embellishments. For the sentiment, I used circle punches to frame it.

Flowers for Mom

Happy Sunday!!!
...and Happy Mother's Day !!!
Before I start my day- and that is exactly how it's going to be- Today is All about ME -day !!!
Although my DH says, everyday is all about me. If I have my way, I just wanted to finish cleaning my room but that is not going to happen. I already have a whole day planned today and tomorrow. So I better get on with it and just show you my post for today.
I made these flowers specifically for this day and I thought they turned out pretty cute. I already did something like this in my blog and I just love that you can make them into stemmed flowers. Hope you like it.

Stylish Bouquet

Hello Peeps !!!
Happy Saturday !!!
So much things to do, so little time. I have been up since 0500 cleaning my stamp room...again!!! My scraps of paper is getting out of hand and just organizing the colors to put into their respective folders seems to take forever. I manage to take a little break and did this card. I did a similar layout and design for the Great Girls Swap only this is a step up.
I did it using the Elements of Style and the Boho Blossoms punch for the flowers. I love the framed round sentiment that is popped with dimensionals.

For the Newlyweds

Happy Friday !!!
This is just a simple black and white card the I designed using the Itty Bitty Bits for the flowers.
The Eastern Blooms vine was the perfect stamp, left some of the flowers black for a contrasting look. I also added the scallop trim border and it looks really good with the white background. Hope you like it.

Stampin' Up Watercolor Trio

Happy Thursday !!!
I have a new favorite stamp set from the Summer Mini. Can you guess? It's like ahving a toy, you kinda wanna play with it all the time. I have been a stamper for a while, and I still get excited getting new stamps in the mail. How about you? I am so glad that the Melon mambo is staying, although I am sadthat Bermuda bay didn't make it. I guess I am just going to make sure I have it available when I need it. Stampin' Up Simple Friendship

Now that the Pink Pirouette is back, I am just loving it. This is just a simple pink, white and black color combo that I designed using the Simple Friendship stamp set. I picked up the SA wheel from the SU Clearance Rack and that was a great investment even if it was retired.

I was totally tired when I got home this morning and did not have much energy to post. I just needed a few hours of sleep to start my day- today. I am going to be busy cutting papers for my class tomorrow. Anyway, here is a card that I wanted to share with you - flowers that are embossed and colored with markers. I used some polka dots papers for the background and did some framing on the main image. For the sentiment, I stamped it in black and used the Window Punch to punch the words separately. Hope you like it.

Birthday Frame

I just wanted to do a quick post before I go to bed and inspire you to make a birthday card using these colors- Tempting Turquoise, Certainly Celery, Whisper White. And you can even use the layout if you want to. I used a retired stamp flower, colored it and added some rhinestone bling.

From This to This -A Second Look at ATC

My card today is an Artist trading Card that we usually do in our group. The idea is to have this ATC handy, so that when you need a card right away you can use this ATC to mount it on a card and you are done. For my card, I used the Watercolor Trio and added a few wembellishment.

Pink and Pumpkin Pie

When I was putting these two colors together, I was saying to myself, What Was I thinking ?
But then when I finally got it assembled and the flowers colored, it turned out pretty good. I added bling on some of the flowers and it's just too bad that it doesn't show well in the picture. Hope you like it.

Butterfly Lattice

Friday already, where does the time go ? I guess that's what happens- Time flies when you are having fun! That is what my card is all about. The butterfly is from that sizzix die cut in a background lattice and textured EF. I really just wanted a muted look without overpowering the main image. Hope you like it.

Just a quick card using the Flower Fancy from the April Promotion- you get 20% off when you purchased this set. I have always love this set and I finally got the chance to purhase it. You will be seeing more of this set, because I tend to use it more. I did the scallop trim border, scallop trim corner punch for the frame. I added the Square Lattice EF for the background.

Stampin' Up Happy Together

Happy Tuesday !!!
Today is a better day for me. It has been a very relaxing morning and it started out really well.
I checked my e-mails, talked to my girlfriend Jean, worked on some cards and just waiting for the pizza in the oven. I can already smell it from where I am sitting... delish!!!
Here is a nother card I did using the new stamp set from the Summer Mini. It is another style of flower and totally love it, and to think it has a punch that comes with it. The textured embossing looks really good on this Color Combo-
Tangerine Tango and Early Espresso. Hope you like it.
