ReplyDeleteI've been stamping literally since I was in kindergarten and I'll be 33 in a couple of days. So I guess that makes it 28 years of stamping! But, let me tell you it's come a long way. As a kid I always got those little Hello Kitty sets that came with several tiny stamps and a couple of different inks. They use to come in these neat little plastic "suitcase" containers. Stampin' Up is a stampers dream!!!!! When I discovered SU a few years back I fell in love!!!! LOL!

ReplyDeleteI have always had rubber stamps of some sort. Not as fancy as I now have, but I know I sold them in my gift shop back in 1984. (yikes-that seems like 100 of years ago)

Well I feel like such a newbie.. For me it hasn't even been a year yet. I use to be afraid believe it or not because I would think me stamp NOOOOOO along with card making.. I was invited to a "Stamp till You Cramp" event by a friend and once was all it took! Those were so fun, they would rent out a building, everyone would bring their stuff and we would just share supplies, ideas, etc. The only rules were, 1)no kids, 2)no husbands, and 3)no cell phones! That was about 12 years ago! WOW! I've been an SU demo for 6 years now.

My mom used to buy us stamps when we were litter and my sisters and I would sit around the table to make stationary as gifts and for our own use. I even had a stamp with my name on it!
