Turning One
Hello Peeps !!!
Happy Saturday !!!
Guess who turned one today ? Our sweet adorable Cade. I think he knew it was his day because he entertained us all with his squirky smile and the funniest laugh. He enjoyed his first no egg and gluten free CAKE. He got to ride his brand new bike and had the the most fun flipping his Elmo phone.

Thank You Note Cards

I made these simple 3 x 3 Note Cards using the retired stamp set Friends 24/7. It has been one of my favorite stamp set and I was really sad to see it go. I stamped tye image in Blushing Bride ink and stamped the sentiment over it in Basic Black. I added a strip of Pattern DSP. Hope you like it.

Today's colors call for a masculine card- Island Indigo, Crumb Cake, Basic Black and for my Neutral, I chose Whisper White. I did a digital print on the motorcycle and stamped the sentiment. I added the Cogs extra double punch which I thought was a nice addition. Hope you like it.

Party This Way

I made party invitations for my grandbaby Cade whose turning 1 July 30th and this is what the card looks like. The party's theme is Elmo and I manage to incorporate Elmo using punches. The card is

Bouquet Blossom

I was inspired by the so many flowers in the Garden Showcase at convention. I made the flower using the Blossom Petals Builder punch and using the DSP and Very Vanilla c/s. I added the button in the center and just a hemp to add to the center. Hope you like it.

Faith in Nature

I am using this stamp set for the first time and thought to get the inspiration from the catty with just a bit of changes so that I can apply my personal touch. I stamped the image in Basic Black and did coloring.
I added a bit of distressing on my main frame and use this French background in Crumb Cake ink.

Consider It Cased

I love using this stamp set and always looking for neat ideas, so when I saw Angela's blog ( Life with a Wiener Dog) I knew I wanted to cased her beautiful card. I did make a few changes- using the scallop circle for my sentiment instead of framing the main image. I wanted to add a bit more to my main image by stamping it 3 times. Hope you like it.

Playing with Colors

These colors are something you would not put on regular basis but the more I played with them, I think the colors are doable. I used River Rock for my main background, and just used a bit of the Pacific Point so as not to be overpowering. Hope you like it.

This is one of the sets that we got at convention and it's a two step stampin'. It's a pretty big set with wonderful images. Here is a card that I did using these delightful colors. I stamped the leaves in Basic Black and did some coloring on the stems. I got to used the Delightful Dozen sentiment and the new ruffled ribbon. Hope you like it.

Stampin' Up Simply Soft

One of the highlights of convention is going home with tons of card swaps and if you see a glimpse of your card, I swapped with you. This does not even include the awesome 3-d items that I swapped with.
I had so much fun and enjoyed every minute of it.
This card was for the swap that I joined with Virginia J. using a stamp set from the new catty. I used the Simply Soft Hostess set and stamped it in the Letterpress Fan Fold background. It was a different concept and I used scallops for framing and border decor. i even added the scallops fo the sentiment.

I had the most fabulous time at convention - from start to finish! I had two of my Bestest girlfriends to share the fun and excitement of convention and I think they had a fabulous time, too. I got the opportunity to meet wonderful stampers at convention and get to chit chat with them for a little bit. Once again, I learned a lot, made beautiful memories and earn some fabulous stamps that I will be able to share with you on my blog.
Today's post is another swap that I made at convention with very simple layout that I think you will agree with me that it is easily demonstrable. I added the beautiful wings sizzlit die with a pearl embellishment. Hope you like it.

Another swap using the punches-Bloosom Bouquet triple layer punch and the Bold Blossom satmp set.
I used the Island Indigo, Calypso Coral and Pool Party In Colors to spiced up this card. I added a strip of Pear Pizzazz and just finished it off with a ribbon bow. Hope you like it.

These are cute bookmarks that I made for my 3-d swap using the In Colors- Island Indigo, Wisteria Wonder, Lucky Limeade, Pool Party and Calypso Coral. I used the Delicate Doilies stamp set and added the sizzlit die cut Sweet Buttons. I even added the Create sentiment just for the stampers, so they can bookmark anything and everything in the new catty. Hope you like it.

Here is another simple swap card that I made using this beautiful lace border punch. I just love the size of this punch. it makes the perfect border to any card. In this case, I just made it poppe ont he side and showed off a bit of the white paper. Hope you like it.

I just love how these cute little 3-d came out. I used the image from Word Play, punched it using the decorative label punch and added the Chocolate Chip paper background for shadowing. When you open the fold, it will reveal a band-aid inside. Hope you like it.
