It's All About Me Today ...

... and to to all the Mothers !!! This is a special day dedicated to all the mothers !!!

Here are some quotes about Mothers and Motherhood

"Motherhood is neither a duty nor a privilege, but simply the way that humanity can satisfy the desire for physical immortality and triumph over the fear of death." -- Rebecca West

"At work, you think of the children you have left at home. At home, you think of the work you've left unfinished. Such a struggle is unleashed within yourself. Your heart is rent." -- Golda Meir

"A mother's arms are more comforting than anyone else's." -- Diana, Princess of Wales

"I looked on child rearing not only as a work of love and duty but as a profession that was fully as interesting and challenging as any honorable profession in the world and one that demanded the best I could bring to it." -- Rose Kennedy

"Being a full-time mother is one of the highest salaried jobs... since the payment is pure love." -- Mildred B. Vermont

Making the decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body- Elizabeth Stone

A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials, heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine, desert us when troubles thicken around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts-Washington Irving

A mother is a mother still, the holiest thing alive. Unknown

Happy Mother's Day to all !!!!

Tagged, I'm It !!!

Julie (Inkredible Stamping) just tagged me and I am supposed to share 7 random facts about me. Thanks Julie for the tagged.

I thought it would be fun to share 7 Facts about ME, My Stamps and I.

1. I have no idea how many stamps I own.

2. I own all 48 colors but then (who doesn't). LOL

3. I spray my wood with acrylic before mounting the images. I also make a copy of the images before I attached them to the wood.

4. I have tons of scraps in a plastic container. This is way out of control.

5. I usually stamp standing up.

6. Contrary to my siggy name (nitestamper) I usually stamp in the daytime.

7. I am definitely have an addiction to... STAMPS !!!

I am tagging Jean (Bear Hugs and Inky Paws) who has never been tag before.

Live Your Dream

Card Project #1
Hello everyone !!!
Here are some cards and a giftable that I just did
at a stamping class. I just got this set from the
Occasions Mini and wanted to use it on this trifold card. I started with 4 1/4 by 11 paper and scored
2 inches and 3 3/4 on both sides , so when you close the card, the two ends will meet and not overlap.
I stamped the stem only for the main image; the flowers were stamped on a white scrap, cut and mounted on dimensionals after I added the eyelets.
The ribbon was folded and secured with tape.
The butterfly was also mounted in dimensionals.

RECIPE:
Stamps: Live Your Dream
Paper: Blue Bayou, Soft Sky, Whisper White
Ink: Blue Bayou, Soft Sky, Mellow Moss
Accessories: DS ribbon, Eyelets
Tools: Piercing tool, Circle punches (3/4 and 1")
Crop-a-dile, Dimensionals

Here is what the card looks like when opened.
The main image is glued to one side of the cardwhere the butterfly is, so the card will open freely.

Cherry Box

Giftable Project #2
I did a giftable project in class using the
Tart and Tangy set.
The direction in doing the box is simple.
(see previous post)
Cut paper 5x5 then score 11/2 inches all around. Tape the sides, and adhere the DSP on all 4 sides.
I attached the eyelets on the side that has no layers, so
that the eyelets can hold the handle.
I used a peppermint patty for the treat.

RECIPE:
Stamps: Tart and Tangy
Paper: Real red, Bashful Blue, Whisper White, DSP
Ink: Real Red, Old Olive
Accessories: Eyelets, Crystal Effects
Tools: Scallop punch, Circle punches, 1/16 punch

You can add CE if you like.

Hello Friend

Card Project #3
This is a very simple card that I also did at a class
using the square punches, oval punches and the Boho Blossom punch.
I punched the large square in the middle of the card. I punched the small square on Very Vanilla
and glued it inside. I used the fine tip Chocolate Chip marker to make the dots on the squares and on the oval sentiment. The strip is mounted in dimensionals. I folded the ribbon and secure it with tape. The flowers below were stamped and then stamped off. The sentiment was also mounted in dimensionals.

RECIPE:
Stamps: One of a Kind,Fundamental Phrases
Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip, DSP, Very Vanilla
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories: Striped pumpkin ribbon, copper eyelets
Tools: Square Punches, Oval Punches, Boho Blossom Punch, Crop-a-dile,dimensionals

Stinkin' Cute

Card Project #4
I combined the Boho Background set with the
Pun Fun image. For the backgorund panel, I stamped the image repeatedly using White Craft.
I used the 3/4 square punch for the corners. For the main image, I used Staz-on black and colored the image using Sahara Sand. The flowers were done with an Aqua painter using the Pomegranate color. I added stickles to his tail and the top of the head. I also did some piercing on the main panel.

RECIPE:
Stamps: Pun Fun,, Boho Backgrounds
Paper: Whisper White, Purely Pomegranate,
Basic Gray, DSP
Ink: Staz-on Black,White Craft, Purely
Pomegranate
Accessories: Brads, Grosgrain ribbon, Stickles
Tools: Piercing tool, dimensionals, 1/16 punch

Scalloped Flower

Card Project #5
This card was inspired by my friend Tammy. I practically cased her card, with just minor changes in the colors.
See the instructions below to make the scalloped flower.
The flower is mounted on dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by.

RECIPE:
Stamps: All Holidays, Little Pieces
Paper: Purely pomegranate, Sahara Sand, Soft Sky, Whisper White, DSP Rose Red
