Just a quick post to show ytou an ATc swap that I am doing for our group- a digital card that features the Fresh Vintage. I used the scallop circle frame and DSP's for my background. I added the cute Itty Bitty punch shape punch to just create a 3-d look for my main image. Hope you like it.

Happy Tuesday !!!

It has been a while since I did a scrapbook page using the MDS, so today I decided to do a page.
This picture I borrowed from my son's girlfriend- her niece Taylor who is just absolutely precious.
I did a custom on the background and love the effect. I used the Jumbo Outline alphabet and the Sweetness Unlimited stamp set. I added the daisies and the striped ribbon. Hope you like it.

i made two Simply Simple cards for Valentine's. it is basically the same concept where I punched on the cardstock using the heart punch and placed the DSP behind. I just realized that I did not really do any stamping in these cards. The strip is a digital that I used as border. Hope you like them both.

Can you already tell one of my favorite stamp sets from the Occasions Mini? I am really enjoying using this Bordering on Romance stamp set and I am not the only one. My inspiration came from Natasha's blog ( Inking Out of the Box) who used this set to make not one but three beautiful cards. I cased the third one with minor changes. I added the circle frame down the bottom and instead of DSP, I just used the striped ribbon.
I also embellished with eyelets- still my all time fav accent. I added the adorning accents EF and edgelit which make a cute border. Hope you like it.

Everyday Birthday

It is so easy to create with this lovely Fresh Vintage and Elementary Elegance stamp set from the Sale-a-bration. I used the Pennant diecut for my main image and I used the dainty ribbon and loop it around the holes. I wanted accentuate the ribbon, so I added a punched circle behind. Hope you like it. For yesterday's project, you have been asking about how I curled the ribbon, It is really simple since I learned it at convention- just used your scissors to curl it. I did it on my project today, too.

Playing with Colors 87

What do you think of these colors for today- Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral, Pool Party and Whisper White for my Neutral. The colors were picked from the Sale-a-bration. I really like the DSP Everyday Enchantment and it's FREE for any $50.00 Stampin' Up order. There are other FREE items you can get. Everything is pretty much unpack, washed and cleaned up in my stamp room. You should have seen it before I left- a major disaster. I am still pretty tired, so I am taking it easy.

I do have one card to show you that I did using the You're My Type stamp set. I did quite a bit of distressing- on the DSP and on my main frame. I just love this pleated ribbon that I have been using it a lot on my cards. The twine makes a cute accent , too. Hope you like it.

FABULOUS !!!! It was business with pleasure and much much more. There are some exciting changes happening with Stampin' UP and you will find out soon enough.

It has been a very busy day yesterday - doing make and take and swaps on the side.

Jean and I are enjoying what San Antonio has to offer- good food, beautiful scenery

and almost a perfect weather. We did have issues with direction a couple of times but

we did find our way.

Today's design is supposedly one of my convention swaps minus the ribbon, but I just did not get to make it ahead of time :(. Anyway, I thought I'd share it with you.

Here is another cute and easy card that I did at convention. I used the Easy Events stamp
set. I stamped the image first thaen used the circle punch. The coloring was done using blender pen and aqua painter. The main background was done using the square lattice EF. Hope you like it.

I will not be doing my normal post for the week. Instead, I will be showing the card swaps that I did for convention. They are very simple, clean and easily cased. Here is one of the cards that I did.
I used the Peach Parfait ink for my flower and just punched it using the 1-1/4 circle punch. I added the Itty Bitty Punch and embellish with pearl in the middle. The Crumb Cake strip was popped .

We celebrated my oldest and my yopungest sons' bithdays yesterday and we had a great time. I sort of wonder where does the time go? I remembered chasing them around the house, taking them to school, and teaching them their first ABC's and now they are so, so grown up. It was a family thing yesterday and another one of those memories that you capture in your heart...forever!!!
Anyway, today's post a card that I did using the Apothecary Art. It goes with the Faramlits Label Collections. I stamped the image first, then I used the Framelits die. I added the pleated ribbon and the button with twine on it. Hope you like it.

Two of my boys are celebrating their birthdays this month and I came up with these Need For Speed cards that are done in 3-d. placing my main image in the inside. I used the Scallop Hearts of heart and added the Hearts Collection Framelits die. I used the Pattern DSP and polka dot ribbon for the front and stamp the sentiment. Hope you like it.

Here is a card that I did using the new stamp set from the Occasions Mini- Bordering Romance.
I did paper piecing on the flowers using Pretty in Pink Pattern DSP and did coloring on the leaves and the small flowers and buds. I then used the dots stamp image and used the edgelit dies for border.
The sentiment is from the Field Flowers. Hope you like it.

Today's post is an Artist Trading Card that I did for a swap. The ATC in the botom and the card I made with the ATC. My original ribbon was a white and red stripe grosgrain but then I changed it the last minute to coordinate with my DSP. I also used the Pretty in Pink DSP for my background panel to tie everything together. Hope you like it.

I am sharing a card today using the MDS- Thoughts and Prayers stamp brush set. I used also this beautiful background, added the Itty Bitty shapes punch and decorated ot with pearls in the center.
For the background, I used the Basic Gray and Calpso Coral c/s and run them into the Big Shot using the stripes EF. The sentiment in this card was stamped. Hope you like it.

Here is today's post for Simply Simple using the Sweet Buttons sizzlit. What a wonderfulw ay to decorate your cards. I stamped the Posy Punch stamp image in Island Indigo and created a row of die cut buttons. I then added the punched circle sentiment. For the background, I added the Fancy Fan Letterpress Folder. I had a bit of panic this morning when my DH was trying to transfer data from my old computer to my new one. He had accidentally deleted all my files (OMG). Luckily, we were able to do a restore and everything was back in order.
Today's Playing with Colors came from Kristi S. - Pink Pirouette, Chocolate Chip, Pool Party and for my Neutral, I chose Whisper White. I used this cute Like-o-meter stamp set from Stampin' UP that I just love to use especially for my Valentine's card. I used the Spice Cake stampin' UP fabric for my button and the ruffled ribbon for accents. Hope you like it.

Yesterday went really fast that I even forgot to post. I was hoping that things ae going to settle a bit but I am still trying to catch up on some work in and out of the house. Anyway, I had been thinking of snow and this year we will not be going to Flagstaff it seems like it since my DH had surgery on his leg few weeks ago. I thought I'd make this card using the Button Buddies and using the designer button. I found some black mini brads and used that for my accents. Hope you like it.

Merry Christmas to all !!!

Hope everyone is enjoying this morning festivities- opening presents, having a wonderful breakfast and/ or still snuggled under the covers. Whatever you do, make it a joyous season!!!
As for me, I took a break in the kitchen after I got my breakfast casserole in the oven. I put more stocking stuffers while everyone is still asleep. And with a cup of coffee in one hand... I am sharing a project I made for my class using the Twenty Five and Counting. I cut so many pieces, I thought I was going crazy. The class did each square and they were done in no time. I actually let them embellish their own advent calendar so they can put their own personal touch. I started working on mine everyday and finally got it finished 2 days ago. They are going to bring their finished advent in January and anxious to see their work. Hope you like it.

Fa la La Christmas-Boxed Sachets

I made these cute boxes and put scented Apple and Cinnamon satchets. I used the scallop sqaure diecut for the flap, added the Tastful Trim for my borders and DSPs. For the box itself, I just used the size of the sachet and scored it using the Simply Scored. The flower was done using the 5-petal punch. I trimmed each petal to create the look ansd sprayed with Frost White shimmer paint.

Fa La La Christmas- Joy at Christmas Card

I thought I'd share my Christmas Card that I sent this year. It is just a very simple design using the Northern Flurry EF as my background and adding the rhinestones to the embossed snowflakes. I used the stamp image from Perfect Punches and punch it with the scallop circle punch. I then again used the large scallop circle punch using Cherry Cobbler paper. I do not know how much I have used the Cherry Cobbler paper this year but I have used it a lot and it's just becoming a favorite of mine.

I was trying to come up with a little something for my co-workers and this idea came to me ( while I am having one of my sweet dreams). I used Stampin' Up stamp Tags of course- scallop square and large tag punch. I just used regular ribbons and curled them. I added the tags and these yummy treats are done.

It has been a super duper busy week for me not to mention my DH having surgery yesterday. He had a broken tib/fib 6 months ago and they had to take the screws out yesterday. He is doing very well except for the pain of course.
Today's cased is from Shirley's blog So Creative Cards with her beautiful card using the Bells and Boughs stamp set. I cased her square layout and instead of the DSP in the background, I stamped the holly and cut it. I was originally going to put it on the side but I changed my mind the last minute and turned the card long ways. The sentiment is from MDS. Hope you like it.

I meant to post this yesterday for Playing with Colors. The color combo is from Krysta- Tempting Turquoise, Real Red, and Whisper White. I really enjoyed working on these colors and they are perfect for birthdays like this one. I added the Perfect polka dots EF for the background. Here is a nother Christmas card using a retired set that I really enjoyed using. I layered the trees creating a 3-d effect in Real Red and Always Artichoke colors. I was really inspired by today's card from Cindy's blog ( Stamping Guru) using the Merry and Type stamp set. I just love how she did her design. I made afew changes, moving the postage image on the left but keeping the design elements. I added brushed gold in my background, added the satin ribbon, brads and used jelly roll to make my ornaments sparkle. Hope you like it.

I made this fun and cute Christmas card for MDS Tuesday using the Winter Post for the snowflake. I just can't seem to locate where I got the ornament. I used Delightful Decorations for the other punched ornament. I added the organdy ribbon, the silver cord and rhinestones for embllishments.

Happy Monday !!!

It has been a prettybusy and fun weekend for me. I just wanted to relax yesterday and do some stamping. I did just that minus the relaxing. I was working on my December tutorial. I was happy to have that accomplished and can't wait to show it to to you.
Today's card is really cute and simple. I stamped the image on Baja Breeze using Marina Mist ink. I added the sentiment stamping it in Marina Mist color. I finished it off using rhinestones and organdy ribbon. Hope you like it.

Happy Sunday !!!

Yesterday was my Mom's Suprprise Birthday Party. Her birthday was the 25th and she turned 80.
Needless to say, she was surprised; so was my Aunt who also celebrated her 80th. We celebrated with
good food, good company,and a lot of laughs just getting them in my niece's house without spoiling the surprise.

THANKS A MILLION to all the birthday cards that she received on her special 80th birthday. My Mom and I appreciate what you have done to make her day so memorable. She was so excited to recieved the cards in the mail everyday from all over the US, Canada, Australia, France, and UK for the last how many weeks. You had just give her the most wonderful present that she will surely treasure. I still do not have the final count on the birthday cards she got but I am hoping the count will make it to 80.
I made this for you especially using the Raining Flowers stamp set. I stamped the flowers in Whisper White ink on Cherry Cobbler c/s, added the punched flowers an dembellished with mini brads.
I added the scallop dots ribbon and also did piercing on top of my main image. Hope you like it.

I am sure everyone is busy preparing a feast today. Let me just wish you and your family a wonderful and blessed thanksgiving. I, for one have a lot to be thankful for today and will be sharing a bountiful feast with my family. My Dh already has the bird in the oven and I will be doing the fixings. My kids are looking forward to my creamed corn, green bean and potato casserole. I also plan to make apineapple banana dessert and leche flan for the occasion.
Today's card is really simple and the Color combo is from anonymous that commented on my blog anniversary. Her favorite color combo- Baja Breeze and Early espresso and I used Whisper White for my Neutral. Hope you like it.

Here is an easy project for MDS that I made using the Snowflake Trimmings Punch. I also used the Winter Post stamp brush set. I just paste the pictures and it worked out really cute as a scrapbook page.
I changed the main page using Sahara Sand c/s, removed the sentiment and replaced it with the snowflake. That is the beauty of the MDS- you can move, remove and change things the way you wanted it to BE. I also converted it into a 12 x 12 layout. Hope you like it.

I used the Petals a Plenty for my background, added a strip of Crumb Cake panel with piercing and framed my sentiment using the wide oval punch. Need some cute thank you gifts ? I made these cute pull out air freshener using Fall colors - More Mustard and Lucky Limeade. I also used the Spice Cake DSp and added a lace border. The sentiment was stamped in Soft Suede ink. The holder was made by scoring the sides at 1/4" and the front of the air freshener just a a bit larger. Hope you like it.

Today's colors came from Melanie Allard (accrodesetampes) Accro Des Etampes -Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry and Crushed Curry her favorite Color Combo. She said she likes bright colors that make her feel happy. I agrree with her because I thought I would have a hard time putting the colors together but as you can see, the colors turned out beautifully. I inked the Button Buddies stamp set for the first time and the flowers were stamped and punched using the scallop circle punch. Hope you like it. My DH totally surprised me and planned an early b-day getaway last weekend. I knew we were going (after thanksgiving) but not sooner. We met up with my BFF, her daughter and grandbaby sort of last minute thing but it worked out wonderfully. I had the most fun shopping at my favorite store (Brighton) going on a unique adventure over 8,000 feet aerial tramway and had the most breathtaking view ever. I made this card in one of our class using the Peekaboo Frames from the Holiday Mini. It's fun, it's simple and clean. The snowflakes were stamped in Basic Gray first, then I aatched the Peekaboo Frame and stamped the snowflake in BBaja Breeze inside the frame. I added the white grosgrain ribbob to hold the flap in place. Hope you like it.

I am late posting again today since I had a lot of "to do" list this morning. I accomplished quite a bit so I took time to post a card that I cased from Jana's blog ( Stamp On This). This card is so darling and delightfully cute. I made a few changes but used her color combo. I added ribbon on mine and used the circle punches for my sentiment. Hope you like it.

These are cute notepads using chipboards that make such sweet gifts. I made different colors from retired designer papers. I even try to match the ribbons and wrapped the binder clips with the same DSP. The sentiment is from the Apple Blossom stamp set. Hope you like it.

Today's MDS is a fall card using the Autumn Spice Digital Kit. I did a bit of distressing on the background and on my main frame. I used the Cutter' kit to do the edges of my cardstock. The leaf was printed and colored and so is the background. Hope you like it.

This card is for the Simply Simple week using the Snow Swirled stamp set.
This must be one of my favorite snowflake set in the catty. I just love using it. It is so easy to play with since there is no coloring involved. All you have to do is pick your colors and you're done. I also love decorating the centers- this time I used silver pearls. Hope you like it.

Today, I am starting my 12 Days of Christmas Projects that will help you plan your holiday gift giving with very little stress (I hope).
I made these cute tags that will be ideal for homebake cookies, breads, and/or treats for the holidays. I used the scallop circle to punch the image and used the circle die cut #2 for mounting. What a simple to way to add a stamped design to any yummy treats. Hope you like it.

You are going to love these cute note card and card holders. I just realized that I did not even do any stamping on these.
I had made these cute note holders using the scallop envelope die cut. I used the Blossom Bouquet Triple layer punch to decorate the front. I used regular typing paper for my loose notes.

Happy Blog Anninversary to me!

I had 1,436 post as of today ,still posting and having a wonderful time !!!!!!!!!! Can you believe it ?
It's all about having fun, sharing what you love and making each day count. I really enjoy the time that I spent creating and putting a bit of "me" into my cards/projects. Wouldn't you want to know and see me in action in my stamp room. Maybe someday I will be brave enough to do one of those videos, but for now, here is a little bit of tip on how I make my card. I will used the card above as my sample.
1. I usually start with what- The stamp set. ( Snow Swirled)
2. I pick my colors- usually 2-3 colors and a Neutral. ( Today's colors for Playing with Colors- Riding Hood Red, Not Quite Navy, Crumb Cake and Whisper White for my Neutral.
3. I usually would choose a background- e.g. designer paper, embossing folder, a wheel or a stamp., or a cardstock. In this card, I chose the Northern Flurry EF.
4. I also incorporate die cuts, punches, design tools, a technique when I can. It can be part of my main image or my main image itself or the background.
In this case, I used the scallop frame and the circle punch for my main image.
5. I try to match my ink with my color combo. I do the same thing for my sentiment. I usually stick to 1,2, or 3 ink colors but no more than three.
6. I love the addition of embellishments in my card to compliment my design. I have to be careful that it does not overpower my main image though.
7. And then, I am done.
More Tips:
I choose card layouts that will go with the stamp set I am using, not the other way around.
I do not glue anything (yet) until I am sure I have the right placement, symmetry, color,embellishment(s) in my card. I start layering first and see how I am going to layer my colors. As far as designer papers, I just have to be careful when I used them because they can also overpower my main image.

I did use the Creative Elements background in Pool Party ink and added the DSP for the background. It just needed a bit of a border so I used the scallop dotted border punch. Hope you like it.

I was just thinking the other day about a dear friend and surprised her with this card. It has been so long since I sent her something in the mail. Most of our conversations are etiher by e-mail or phone.

I woke up really early today with a cup of coffee in my hand and my first stop was in my stamp room. I made this card using the Perfect Punches stamp set. I stamped the butterlies in Blushing Bride and Island Indigo colors. It was fun to make that I even decide to cut the butterflies and create a 3-d effect.
